I was born and raised on the Florida Gulf Coast, the daughter of two fish-heads who taught me to swim before walking. I started spearfishing around the age of ten with a Pole Spear; naturally, I was hooked. I soon graduated to hunting with a speargun and learned to free and scuba dive. The majority of my spearfishing now takes place outside the Tampa Bay area on shallow reefs with occasional trips throughout the state and islands. To date, some of my spearing accomplishments include a 75 lb. amberjack, 24 lb. gag grouper, and a 9 lb. hogfish. In addition to spearfishing, I enjoy lobstering, scalloping, hook-and-line fishing, and other watersports.
